How can i sprain my thumb?

Hi, i want to trick my friends and teachers into thinking that i sprained my thumb as a practical joke. I bought a wrist splint with an abducted thumb but i don't know what to tell people when they ask "what did you do to your thumb". Give me some ideas... No nonsense either, stick to the question.
