I am 65 yrs old, never used credit for anything, $1200/month income from ss & vet pension, can I get a loan?

I want to buy a used travel trailer, around 8-12 thousand dollars, I can put 2-3 thousand down. I have had a bank account with a debit card for over ten years, otherwise I don't think they know I'm alive, and I'm not sure I want to call myself to their attention. My life expectation is not very good, and the money stops on my death, so will they require a co-signer?
