Should I wear white socks when I report to jail to begin serving my sentence?
I have to report to a local jail to start serving a five month sentence at the end of the week I was told that one of the first things that I have to hand over to the booking officer are my shoes, right away when I enter the facility's booking/reception area. Does this mean that I'll have to be in my socks for the remainder of the booking process which I heard can take hours, before I am given a jumpsuit? Should I wear white socks when I report, because they are a little thicker than color socks, since my shoes are going to be taken away and should I even bother wearing a clean pair?
