Why is cisco so dominant in the routing industry and networking?

cisco was one of the first companies to sell wireless routers and even before that they made different products. cisco was founded in 1984 so it is the most well known company that makes routers.another reason that they are dominant is that they make really good products. they make good home routers along with very technical Business routers for big corporations.
