For paramedics and police: Is it better to keep your interior bedroom door unlocked or not?

Most interior doors are hollow core and can usually be opened with a quick kick. So locking the door isn't going to slow to medical personal or invader. Though the sound of the door being kicked may give you some warning that someone was entering.
