How do I get my 6 month old interested in reading?

I know that reading to my child at a young age will make his vocabulary stronger in the years to come, but I have a question. Are their any tips to getting your 6 month old to pay attention while you read? I know that sounds silly because everything is so new to them and they just want to stand up/sit down kick around and explore, but I started reading the winnie the pooh series to my son and he grabs for the book and trys to put it in his mouth/tear the pages out and when I hold the book higher so I can read he just gets grumpy and squirmy in my lap. 2 months ago I could read to him in his bouncer and he would just stare up at me and listen but now he doesnt seem interested. What should I do?
