My wife whom i have just married has filed for bankruptsie. And i want to refuse to include my income can i?

Just want to know if im allowed to refuse adding my income to hers what would happen to me and would she be penalized in some way if i refuse. How could she get in trouble if i dont want to participate in the income reporting process
