Why does my car operate normally when Relay is removed?

I had a couple power draws while the car is off coming from 2 fuses. Instead of pulling the 2 fuses every time i leave the car i pulled the lighting relay. I also had a dome light prob where the light stayed on when doors were shut. Now there is no draw and everything works perfectly. Can i drive the vehicle without the relay? I own a 1995 Honda Accord Ex 2.2 liter 4door 4 cyl V-Tech
