Would Bull Fighting be legal in America?

I've seen slaughter houses kill cows & blood goes everywhere & the cows bellow in agony then their eyes go gly & their tongue hangs out & then they hit the ground, stone dead. Are the bull fights simular? It was reall exciting to see where my hamburger came from.
